Privacy notice — Tony YouTube Helper

This notice describes the owner’s personal, local Tony YouTube Helper. It is not a privacy notice for every service on the Tuesdays With Tony website. The helper uses YouTube API Services and is not offered for public registration.

Information accessed and used

The helper accesses channel identity and video metadata, including private and scheduled items, to prevent duplicate uploads, apply approved settings and verify results. Approved videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions and publication schedules are sent to Google/YouTube through the YouTube Data API.

Relevant information and local production records may be accessed by Codex/OpenAI when acting as the owner’s authorized assistant. The helper does not sell this information or use it for advertising. The helper does not connect to Facebook or Instagram.

Local records and retention

Owner-created videos, thumbnails, written copy, schedules and source manifests are separate from information retrieved through the YouTube API. The owner retains control of those source materials.

The current helper keeps minimal current-state API recovery records and thumbnail evidence rather than accumulating raw API-response histories. Cached API information must be refreshed within 30 days; the helper blocks expired records from use. Refreshing is part of operating the helper; no background refresh service is currently enabled.

Historical API evidence is awaiting separate review; this notice does not claim that all older records have already been refreshed or removed. Irreversible deletion requires the owner’s specific approval.

Authorization storage

Renewable authorization storage is enabled after Google consent. The helper encrypts renewable authorization using Windows DPAPI for the Windows user and keeps access tokens in memory only. Software running under the same Windows account may still be able to access that authorization.

Revoke access, request removal or raise a concern

The owner can revoke the helper’s access through Google Account third-party connection controls. Revocation stops authorized API access; it does not itself erase local files or videos already uploaded to YouTube.

As the helper’s sole user, the owner can raise privacy questions and request review or removal of local helper records through the authorized assistant workflow used to operate the helper. Requests involving irreversible removal require specific owner approval. Removing local helper records does not delete content held by YouTube; YouTube content is managed separately through YouTube’s own controls.

Google and YouTube

Google/YouTube handles information it receives under the Google Privacy Policy. Use of the helper is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
